  • What is going on with Google's modified OS (e.g. Graphene OS) website?

I really have no knowledge of what this means beyond the URL redirecting me to a completely different webpage, but it seems interesting. When you boot Graphene OS, you normally see:

"Your device is running a different opperating system.

Please visit this link on another device:
g.co/ABH"

I was trying to learn more about verified boot so I visited the page again for the first time since installing Graphene OS about 1 month ago, and I got a much different response. It asked me to sign into a my Google account, so I did, and this is what I saw:

That's all I know. Any thoughts or ideas? Will Google release something?

fosh19991 This happened because you mistyped the domain. You went to g.to/ABH, not g.co/ABH.
Going to the correct Google domain doesn't prompt a login.

This doesn't appear to be an official Google page you signed in to. I recommend you go to your Google account security settings and remove the access you granted this service immediately.

It appears it actually uses Google OAuth login, so you weren't scammend for your login credentials as it seems, but this might still be dangerous.

Please be more careful about the domains you visit in the future, especially when it's behavior is unexpected and seems off. This is even more important for logging in, as it could've very well presented you with a fake Google login to steal your credentials.

fosh19991 No worries, happens to everyone. And yeah, updating your password is probably still not a bad idea.

I see the same screen when rebooting and as far as I know it's perfectly normal; which is to say everyone sees it.

Is there anything that should be done, or should it just be ignored?

SteveC The screen is perfectly normal and you don't need to worry about it.
If you read the above messages, you see that this situation has already been dealt with and wasn't about the screen itself but the shown link being mistyped.

fosh19991 Also check if any third-party connections were added to your account by going to your Google account settings > Security > scroll down to "Your connection to third-party apps and services".
