I followed common advice to set up the Google dependent and non-free apps in a secondary profile. I included some apps from Fdroid on that profile.

When I later tried to set up the owner account, Fdroid doesn't install, with the error that the file is invalid.

WTF?

Thank you!!! That's the first piece of valid support information I've gotten about an issue I've run into with this GrapheneOS experience. That article so clearly explained things, makes so much sense.

I had heard about security issues with Fdroid, read the article you linked, which really educated me on the matter. I'm so grateful for such a logical, reasonable, practical, holistic body of information about that. Really helped me understand things.

I use just a few apps via Fdroid, mostly looked to that repository as a way to avoid the snooping from Google. Thanks to that information, I understand that particular app store doesn't fit my security aims, and the problem I ran into is now moot.

Very much appreciate your insights. Thank you.

    Best regards.
