Well then you do not have a SIM PIN and if your phone gets stolen the thief can make unlimited phone calls. Another downside of rebooting is that you cannot use the phone as an alarm clock anymore.

DeletedUser396 Thank you for pointing out the advantage of eSIM. That is indeed a reason to switch.

Alarm clock does work on owner profile and the alarm app only. It does not work for secondary profiles and alarms that come from the calendar.

schweizer I don't use additional user profiles or private space, so you know better than I do regarding alarms in these. In the owner profile my alarm works as it should, whether locked and in BFU state or not.

Something to consider would be using encrypted communication apps like Signal, XMPP, Matrix, SimpleX, etc. After a reboot, those are unresponsive, sometimes even until you open the app. So for someone whose primary communications are encrypted, this is a concern.

I do wish this wasn't a problem. I know I wouldn't be able to see any details or respond before unlocking, but I have to be considerate of when my phone reboots. I still have it reboot every 4 hours, and would do more if possiblle, but just today I didn't get notified of an emergency until over 4 hours later because my phone wasn't AFU. Thankfully it wasn't imperative I do something, but you see the trouble.
