Just for clarity and for sake of completeness of information, as it isn't 100% clear from your writing, is this issue present aswell on your pixel 7 pro stock? It's not clear from your writing if the sim has been tested on stock on your new pixel 7 pro.

Again for clariry, as there seems to be contradicting statements in your writing, do u experience this issue already 2 years with a Spanish sim? Or are u refering to perhaps other reports indicating a similar issue dating 2 years back?

I don't believe that's true, but in general in troubleshooting it's best to rule certain things completely out before coming to conclusions.
In some cases this includes first excluding potentional hardware issues. I agree this process might be disruptive, especially when u are in the receiving end of such an issue.
I hope u don't percieve my comment as a dismissive one, but currently in your writing there's a key part that's not made clear, and that is if that issue occur on your new pixel 7 pro on stock aswell? If that is not the case, then this indeed with a high probabilty rules out a potentional hardware issue, but again,this is not clear from your writing currently.
What is clear from your writing currently is that the sim card itself is not the issue.
