Continuous restarts in profiles using GMS Compat

I am using a Google Pixel 7 Pro which recently updated (this week) and is currently Build 202512700. I was having the same problem with the previous update.

I usually notice the issue when I am streaming podcasts on BBC Sounds (with the Signal app open also) in my main user profile. The stream stops and when I log into the profile I get the following...

In the current profile I get:
GrapheneOS.Other users.now
"Notification from GmsCompat for profile B"
"Notification from GmsCompat for profile C"
GmsCompat
"Sandboxed Google Play is running"
Sometimes also...
"Apps up to date"

If I then switch to profile B or C the OS takes a long time to log me out of the current profile and sometimes reboots the phone restarting me in the Admin profile. If not a full reboot then the screen will partially display the profile log in screen (i.e. the app fields will not show text). When in the other profile it will show:
GmsCompat
"Sandboxed Google Play is running"

It seems like there is a mini reboot in each of the profiles and this may happen a few times in the course of an hour or two.

Wondering if anyone elsee is suffering the same problem or may have some helpful advice?

Honestly, I don't think that I understand the described situation even after reading the description several times. That might be true for other users.

For example, what is "GrapheneOS.Other users.now"? Are exactly those characters displayed? Where?

So I have four profiles - the default admin profile and three others I have set up.

This usually only happens when I am listening to the BBC Sounds app in my regular profile although I usually have Signal open constantly in that profile too. I can't say I've seen this at other times say when my phone has been sat idle in the house for hours.

The music stream will stop playing and when I check the phone it has the notifications I stated previously:
In the current profile I get:

GrapheneOS.Other users.now (this is the category heading for the notifications)
"Notification from GmsCompat for profile B" (this is the notification - one for each of the other user profiles)
"Notification from GmsCompat for profile C"

GmsCompat (this is the category heading for the notification in the current profile)
"Sandboxed Google Play is running" (this is the notification for current profile)

Sometimes also included is the notification...
"Apps are up to date"

I then try to swap profiles to clear notifications and the sytem will take a long time to switch and sometimes reboot fully and restart me in the Admin profile.

I hope this is a bit clearer.

I wrote a report on GOS github and it is showing there as open (19hrs now) when I'm in the report page. However, when I go to the Issues page that lists all issues I don't see it and it has had no responses. Do you know why this might be. Is there something I am missing to get it properly registered as a report?

SJon4 I have heard that if a GitHub account is registered with an e-mail address that GitHub doesn't believe in, especially one from a throwaway e-mail service, they won't complain, but they will make all posts invisible. The material will become visible if an e-mail address they think better of is added to the account.

I have a Proton acct and I used an alias for that account. I have updated it with a pucker Proton email add. Do you know if that will auto update on the report or will I have to re-report?

SJon4 you can check if the issue is visible yourself by going to the issue, copying the URL, opening an incognito tab, then pasting the URL there. If you see a 404 page, I don't think anyone but you can see the issue.

My account was shadowbanned for the same reason when I created my GitHub account. I had to contact support after adding a real email address to have my account fixed. I'm not sure how GitHub handles old issues when this happens.

I tried your suggestion and got a 404 as predicted. I will follow up with Github admin.

However, in the meantime, there have been a number of GOS updates and I have also been thru my apps doing updates and this morning I have had no restarts whilst out for over an hour!
