Specifically, I was trying to play audio files using VLC or Music Player on my phone and share via bluetooth so that the audio would output on the tablet and speaker dock...
I was unable to figure out how to do this, because the two devices don't appear to be connected and no option to share audio is available and I can't look for available options because...
Generally, there is a problem with the connection in that neither device shows as connected... When trying to link the tablet and phone, they find each other and connect with no issues, but if there is nothing being shared they immediately (within seconds) and automatically disconnect and revert to 'saved' status.
If I bring my GOS phone or my older tablet (not GOS) to eg my car, they establish a bt connection and even while in a 'resting' state (ie even when nothing is being sent from one device to the other) the connection persists and is available for use until it is manually switched off.
Possibly I am mistaken in thinking that the the Pixel Tablet can receive audio from another device in the same way, but I have run into a dead end in trying to figure it out because I can not establish a persistent bt connection to work with.
