Twint not working anymore

For information Twint still works for me for BCV.
I had a friend that has Migros Bank and a month ago he wrote to me saying that it wasn't working for him anymore. Seems to be a Twint Migros specific thing.

mrn CS version is also still working after update to 2.19.29.0 (play services installed but not signed in, using the app on a secondary profile).

The newest version of MB Twint works without a google account again. Problem solved.

I have not tested if Playstore is required at all because I need it for other apps.

After a very short intermezzo the newest Migros Twint is not working any more.
Affected version 2.20.15.0
If you have Playstore not installed you get a error message to install it upon start of MB Twint. If it is installed you get a redirect to Playstore.
I am confused because there was no update of MB Twint in the meanwhile.

As of today it is working again with version 9.6.1544 that came out on May 23rd.

Thanks for all the information.

I am currently changing banks and have to use Twint Prepaid at my new bank (Hypothekarbank Lenzburg).

However, I can't even download Twint Prepaid from the store. “Device not supported” – do I have to give the store temporary permission?

Twint worked at my previous bank, Post.

Yes, that's correct. I checked directly with the developers.

I was able to install it with Aurora Store and a VPN connected to Switzerland. I don't use Google Play Services, but the app works just fine.
Keep in mind that I had to play around with the VPN servers. It seems some servers were sort of blacklisted by Google, and they don't allow downloading Swiss specific apps on Aurora Store. As soon as I connected to a newly deployed server and IP, I could download it just fine and use it.

I had to ditch Twint UBS because my bank Neon changed to a debit Master and the Twint UBS app takes no such card.
I can't install Twint prepaid. Play store says my device isn't supported. I have a Pixel 9.
I disconnected Proton VPN but still no luck. Any other suggestion?

Twint UBS is for UBS customers so it is not at all surprising that it does not work with another bank.

I do not see the twint prepaid with tor enabled. So I suspect geoblocking. Have you tried downloading with a Swiss VPN?

Twint UBS works with a Master Card from any bank. With a few spending/income limitations.
I am always connected to a Swiss server. Even without VPN I can't install it.

Strange. I have the same phone. You could try installing from Aurora. Or download on another device, extract the apk with Amaze and install it on your phone with APK Explorer & Editor.
