Recommend me better Apps (if possible)

Hey,

i use only a few Apps and would like to know if there are better solutions or Apps, instead of the Apps, I'm using at the moment. I hope that with this open Discussion, that my Security and Privacy can improve hopefully! I listed the Source where I get them from too, that you can recommend me better ways to get it from too! But I only want Open Source, non Google Play Store or F-Droid recommendations. Perfect would be from Github or Codeberg. (I'm not on GrapheneOS yet, consider that too please. But I will switch, when Pixel 9a cames out)

Aegis from Github (I will switch to U2F/Fido App, when I bought it)
Brave from Github
Collabora Office from (https://www.collaboraoffice.com/downloads/fdroid/repo/) - I know I could get it from their Repo with F-Droid Basic too, which would probably be better but since it is the only App, I just get it from their Website with Obtainium. And I did not found any better Alternative than it, which works flawlessly.
FlorisBoard stable Version from Github
Mullvad VPN from Github
Obtainium from Github to manage most Apps
SimpleX Chat from Github
GrapheneOS Store & Camera & PDF Viewer from Github (I just wish that @GrapheneOS could make the GrapheneOS Store available in their Website, would be more secure in my opinion to get it from)

And if recommending better Alternatives, they should not have any Trackers.

Those are all fairly solid app choices but why wait on Pixel 9a? You could use Pixel 6 onwards with GOS and almost certainly be more secure and private than what your using now.

tango I don't see any reason to waste money, if it is only 3 months away to been published? Why should I pay 700/800, instead of 500/550 + the Pixel 6 would be then useless, when I'm using the Pixel 9a...This would be the opposite of a Security Choice, since I can not use it anymore after the Pixel 9a...And I'm definitely not rich to waste easily 200 or more for just being unpatient. And paying 300 more for 7 Years of Updates, is more clever and has more Features etc. Because Pixel 6 and 7 will not be recommended by GrapheneOS on their Website soon either...Because of Memory Tagging.

The Pixel 6a for example runs until July 2027 so two and a half years left and can be bought cheap now. It depends on your threat model, memory tagging is a great feature but i still wouldnt give up my Pixel 6 until support runs out in October 2026 as its absolutely flawless and has been for years! Who told you the Pixel 6 & 7 wont be recommended?

tango But you loose good Features, just by not giving out a little more Money. Plus you would have support until March 2032...Recommending older Pixels is not a good way, in my opinion.

Obviously out of all the Pixels the 8 onwards with MTE is the ultimate, absolutely! However i would still have no problem recommending to others who maybe dont want to splash 500/600+ the 6a onwards with GOS ahead of any other phone on the market. For newcomers especially trying out GOS for the first time a Pixel 6a around two hundred dollars with 2.5 years support is a no brainer in my opinion. Have you heard of any GOS device being compromised 6 onwards?
