I'm wondering if there's a way to reset the backup path.
I can't seem to get the OS to let me choose the path. The selection is greyed out and has the last used drive selected, even though it's not connected and has been formatted since last backup.
When I do plug a drive in, it does not allow me to select it and perform the backup process.

According to my notes, the best way to format a drive is MBR + exFAT. Is that how the drive is formatted? When it is plugged in, does the Files app see it?
de0u That's correct, formatted just this way. The drive is recognized as a media drive when plugged in normally.
quantum_m3chan1c If I were in that situation I would most likely curse for a while and then clear the cache and storage for SeedVault. But you might want to wait a day or so to see if somebody suggests something else.

After cursing I would likely try: Settings, Apps, See all __ apps, ⋮, Show system, Seedvault, Storage & cache, then "Clear cache" and "Clear storage".
To be clear, this is not something I have done.
