Hello forum,

I've had a problem in the couple past days, when I try to Install "Element" (im.vector.app) via obtainium in GOS.

I already had Element in two of my users (Owner (app disabled) and Personal (app enabled)). These days I uninstalled (in both users) and tried to install again, but I get some message from obtainium saying I already have the package.

When I go to 'Settings > Apps', I see this:

I see this "Not installed in this user" in both "Owner" and "Personal" users. My other users don't see this. Strange.

So, the app isn't installed in neither of the users, and I can't install it because it thinks it is already installed.

That's strange. Is anyone familiar with something like this?

    Not sure of the cause.

But for a solution, try this:

System Settings -> Apps -> [select your app] -> three dots on top right -> Uninstall for all users

    Maybe that will work?

Thanks for contributing. Unfortunately, this option is not available for this app (when the app says it isn't installed in this user). All the other apps have this option, but this one, no :/

What is the status on the Apps list for this app you cannot uninstall?
        Is it “deactivated”?
–For such apps there is never a three-dot menu in the upper right corner.

Are you in the Owner profile while trying to uninstall the app?
If not, then it's also possible not to see it.

Solved: After a couple of tries, I cleaning Obtainiun's cache and forced stop and tried to reinstall Element. It worked. I tried this same solution extensive times, one of them worked.

As @zzz reported, there are another similar cases, so, I believe it is some kind of issue in the OS. That is the solution that worked for me, so I am sharing here.
