*While on a phone call, if the device locks and I need to unlock it, it wil register my fingerprint but I only get my lock screen with no icons. It's as if the phone registers the unlock but fails to load the home screen or any content. The only fix is to restart the device. Using the Verizon network . The phone call stays active during this time.

*Camera takes 6-10 seconds to load when you open the app. Also takeas an additional 5-8 seconds to switch camera modes (Photo to portrait) . Using Google Camera and Gcam services provider APK, worked perfect on my 6 and 6a. This also happens when I change camera settings (1080p-4k), the drop-down menu takes forever to show up.

*Photo editing is very difficult. On all my graphene pixels, while in the photo editor the picture itself is very blurry. I have to "guess" the end result. After saving the edit, the picture clears up instantly. It also seems like the editing effects are much stronger than when I edit on my Samsung phone. Also, will we get magic eraser? I've had a graphene 6, 6 pro, 6a, and a 7 . Neither have had the magic eraser feature I loved on my Samsung.

*Certain apps are still not working. I have Google Play services sandbox running. Google services framework will not download, says I have another similar app already running, assuming its my gcam services provider APK. The apps that are not working for me are Tinder, Hinge, OSMND. I have turned on the Exploit Compatibility option on all 3 with no results.

Besides that, I'm more than happy with Graphene on the 7 and I'm glaf I upgraded. I miss the size of my 6a but hopefully the 7a is similar so I can pick up that.

Thanks for reading. Very appreciative to have a forum where I can ask these questions!

    Photo editing is very difficult.

This is because GrapheneOS uses the AOSP Gallery app, which is a pretty basic sample app. You can install another gallery app with editing functionality to get better results.

    will we get magic eraser?

Magic Eraser isn't an OS feature, but a Google Gallery (maybe Google Photos, can't remember) feature. You'd need to install the app for that feature.

Google services framework will not download, says I have another similar app already running, assuming its my gcam services provider APK.

That's correct. You need to uninstall Gcam Service Provider from all profiles and install GSF instead along with Play Services and the Play Store. Then reinstall the problematic apps afterward if necessary.

Any advice on the gallery app replacement? I know lightroom is a good go-to for editing but I'm not sure about the gallery interface. I really like Samsungs gallery and its features, but I'm sure its unavailable on graphene.

I'll try out Google Photos but I really dislike the user interface, it's way too basic and difficult to organize your photos. I was so happy thinking I wouldnt have to bother with google photos on this phone lol

Thanks for the tips on the other apps, I'll try it out. Will I have to remove my Google Camera app as well? Also, are there any other camera apps that are safe and don't ruin quality? Assuming a good app will use the camera hardware alone and let the user edit how they please, but I've been very underwelmed by the GrapheneOS camera.

James9x19 I deleted my Gcam services provider APK and uninstalled the Google camera app, but I'm still getting the same message. Any advice?

You need to make sure that "Gcam Services Provider" is uninstalled from all user profiles on your device. Get rid of it completely.

      Once you've done that:

Install GSF, then Play Services and then Play Store (in that order). Then, install Google Camera or any other app that depends on GSF/Play Services.

Update Re-installed google camera on my device and it worked, that tells me Gcam services is still on there somewhere.

James9x19 Review your full apps list while logged in as the Owner profile (Settings > Apps > See all n apps). Even apps installed under other profiles will appear in the list when viewed by the Owner.

          Update
I was able to install the Google Play services and Google Play framework on my device, and everything works now.

Snapchat has always worked, I just have a "Snapchat will not run without google play services, which are not supported on your device" message whenever I open it.

Instagram and Snapchat worked fine before the Google Services and Framework downloaded, and they still do.

Also not getting Snapchat notifications even with everything turned on

James9x19 You need to install apps that depend on Play Services after properly installing Sandboxed Google Play.

It sounds like you may have installed Snapchat prior to that.

Also, you need to make sure that Google Play Services has battery set to "unrestricted".
