Is that all "upstream"? And are we all at the mercy of those same ppl as far as what flags, rules and policies are added to Vanadium.
Any idea who manages Labs or anything else in a webview?

As documented, "Vanadium is a privacy and security hardened variant of Chromium". The GrapheneOS project improves the security and privacy in accordance with their beliefs and resources. For example, recently Vanadium acquired an ad-blocking function which was definitely not from upstream.

What is being referred to as "Labs"?
de0u oh very nice, I didn't notice that vanadium got ad block capabilities. how does it compare to brave now overall?

I am not a Brave user, so I am not in a position to evaluate that.
nullable Vanadium is a GrapheneOS project. We choose the values we want for feature flags and everything else but we have limited resources and few of those are dedicated to Vanadium. We need more developers working on it to accomplish our goals rather than mostly just treating water.
grapheneos-enthusiast Vanadium has been doing adblocking since the 122.0.6261.43.1 release in February 2024:

GrapheneOS when vanadium will get capabilities to cancel cookies upon restart? and also an integrated translator is vital for my use case but I understand the implications of implementing it 👍
