I've installed microG for revanced youtube. Is it safe?

Hey guys. Im new to grapheneOS, and after installing revanced youtube (for adblocking), i got prompted to install microG, which I did. Now after reading about grapheneOS not supporting microG, im wondering if microG on my phone is isolated, or if it has privileges that is not good from a security perspective?

Graphite_FS microG for Vanced is a different breed of microG that has been modified slightly. It runs as a normal, unprivileged app and doesn't have any special permissions. It doesn't suffer that much from the problems regular microG poses to device safety (since it is required to run as a system app, fakes signatures for other apps and much more).

Just to be certain, when I look at my app list, it just says "microG". But I assume it downloaded the specific reVanced version? I got prompted to install it through the reVanced youtube app.

Graphite_FS no metter what, as long as you are on Grapheneos the app will operate inside the regular app sandbox and will only be able to use the permission you have explicitly granted (so, don't allow any sensitive one)

Graphite_FS the package name should be app.revanced.android.gms. If that is the case, you have the right one.
