Hi,
I just installed today GOS on a new Pixel 9 Pro XL. When trying to register a fingerprint, there's a message like "please press harder on the sensor" (but I already push very hard) ans nothing registers.
Is there a special manipulation to do to enable it ?

xav Maybe flash the device back to Google's OS to verify the sensor works?

That's a pain as I have already migrated everything ...

Do you use a screen protector?

If so, maybe Settings> Display> Increase touch sensitivity will help.

Murcielago Yes that was it !
Still, it took way too many attempts each time to register the fingerprints. Maybe something's wrong with the screen protector I installed.
But thank you anyway, I didn't know of this option, great help !

OK I found what's wrong: the Pixel fingerprint sensor somehow doesn't like my dry skin. Licking my finger makes it work flawlessly.
That's sad and not a day-to-day solution but here we are.

xav Thanks for reporting back. I wish you had a better solution, but something is better than nothing. It might help to try different screen protectors?

Yes I ordered some new ones. I'll report back.

Reporting back: I ordered "iVoler" screen protectors and they work like a charm.
Se here we are: choose your screen protector wisely, they make a hell of a difference.

          xav Thanks for reporting back!
