I got a pixel 9, and shortly after installed GrapheneOS, the first non-LineageOS based ROM in a long time for me. Overall I’m extremely impressed, sandboxed Google services work great as well.
There are two features that I’m painfully missing from LineageOS, maybe someone knows any 3rd party app or workaround to help?
Keyboard Navigation, Graphene only has the AOSP settings, no option to fine-tune what each button does in what way when clicked or long pressed. The lack of settings makes gestures superior, but slower than what I can do with the buttons tuned (just double-clicking recents to go to last app will always be faster than the gesture to do so). I’m guessing I might get faster over time, and I can probably live with this in exchange for space won, but the thing missing the most, is the menu button. I used long press recents for that, it activates the settings action in whatever app I’m in, is there a gesture to do that or one I can add? Alternatively, are there full 3-button-nav settings hidden somewhere?
Using the volume rocker to control the text cursor. This is much more fine-grained and less error-prone than using any kind of touch gesture to correct typos and so on.
