What happens here is that WhatsAppâs spam engineâor whatever system theyâve deployedâraises the risk score for GOS WhatsApp users. This does not happen to everyone, as multiple users have reported; it depends on whether you use a VPN, have the Native Code Debugging permission disabled, have PlayâŻProtect API failing, disabled DCL via memory, etc. Once the spam engine flags your number, it keeps the number flagged forever. If you try to use WhatsApp again on GOS with the same number, youâll see the âYou need Official WhatsAppâ message. I think the system assumes we are using a modified WhatsApp build or a bot trying to automate sending messages.
I used WhatsApp for two years before they randomly blocked my account. I was blocking most of the permissions they asked for and using Mullvad VPN. However, you can install WhatsApp on a Googleâcertified phone, but you canât reinstall it back on GOS using the same number.
