nunyo thanks for the bump! In android you can set a notification's "importance" (https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/views/notifications/channels#importance). "High" is supposed to make a sound even if the phone is in vibrate/silent mode, but this can be changed by the OEM (graphene in this case). For work, I prefer to have my phone be quiet except for critical alerts (like my house being broken into). Home assistant allows you to manually set a notifications importance which worked up until around this release. Now the notification follows the system default regardless of the importance, so to make a sound I have to have my phone not on vibrate/silent. GrapheneOS allows you to mute certain notifications but not escalate them.
Do not disturb is another beast altogether which can block even those and only allows whitelisted apps. For what it's worth, I have these turned on even in do not disturb just to be sure that's not it.
