Safe browsing in standard isn't that privacy invasive as far as I'm aware. But do keep in mind that you still have to share some data even if the data shared is pretty limited. Whether you use it or not is up to you.

Enhanced mode however is quite a bit more invasive. As it will send significantly more information to google. It is however obviously more effective as well. So once again up to you.

Ultimately it depends on how you feel. If you feel you don't need the extra protection and that your browser's actual security is enough then leave safe browsing off to have extra privacy.

If you would rather the extra security over possible privacy implications then turn safe browsing on.

Either way it isn't inherently a bad thing to turn it on or leave it off. All these options have ups and downs and users have preferences. So choose what works for you.

      DeletedUser95 Yea, I was thinking to enable at least standard mode of Safe Browsing but I'm concerned of "parts of site content" because I don't know which part they mean. For example I'm worried for critical personal data, like for example when I login in my Bank online.

          I'm not entirely sure what all data is sent. But I am doubtful that it would be any kind of critical personal data. Mainly because that would be a massive issue if it did without making the user explicitly aware.

          From what i can understand the "parts of site content" refers to things like embedded content or content in general for that matter. For example stuff like text, images, videos that sort of thing in the site which collecting both of those things would likely not process any critical data.

          It's also important to note however from what I understand is they will only send the data if they find the site to be suspicious in the first place. Which I don't really see how that could easily happen on a legitimate site.

          Your concern and skepticism is quite understandable. Though I think it'll likely be fine.

          Also do keep in mind I am not a expert on Google's safe browsing and I may be factually incorrect so take what I say with a grain of salt. I am just saying what I think I understand about it from research on it.

          You could also have a peek at some documentation on it and see how you feel for yourself.

              As far as i'm aware pretty much. Badness enumeration isn't inherently a bad thing to have to me though. And yes I am aware that badness enumeration really does not work as a actual method of protecting a user.

              I don't treat it as one. I treat as more so something that's nice to have but not something that should be relied on.

              That's just the way I see it cause like. Yeah having actual security is a very good thing but also if there's the possibility to avoid a malicious site in the first place I also find that as a nice bonus. Just the way I see it

              I can understand though potential privacy concerns for a feature that doesn't contribute to actual security may not sound very worth it to some which is why i'm glad it's off by default in vanadium.

                  As the posted link states: Standard Safe Browsing does not work currently.
                  So its either Disabled or Enhanced, I use Enhanced for peace of mind

                      FlipSid well, I use exactly the opposite. (My inner self doesn't appear to be happy wirh posting copy of my web browsing history to Giogle or whatever the big brother may be. In any case, I consider posting here a great form of psychotherapy along with low carb diet. [Remind. Florisboard zucks, look for alternative {a lot of proofreading}]).
