Voice Assistant Home Assistant

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with Home Assistant on my phone.
There was a time when I could declare home assistant as a voice assistant in Settings > Apps > Default apps > Digital assistant app > Default digital assistant app.

Today, I don't see any applications in this section.
I guess this is a new limitation of Graphene OS?

Does anyone have the same problem as me?

I specify that I have the latest version of the application and that I installed it via Aurora.

It works fine for me. Are you using homeassistant in your main profile or work profile / private space?

In my main profile.
A friend of me told me that he can set "Mull" as a vocal assistant.
So I download Mull but can't se it too.
I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what...

Do you see Home Assistant in android auto too?

I don't use android auto. Do you actually have a voice assistant set up in home assistant? It might not show in android settings if not.

I got one, looks more like this issue, I'll try this after work.

I couldn't use any assistant apps (the list to select one in the default-apps settings was empty) on Pixel 7.
The solution was to start an adb shell and issue:
cmd role add-role-holder android.app.role.ASSISTANT {exact package name of any assistant app you have installed already e.g. org.stypox.dicio} (source)
afterwards everything worked and all the apps exposing the assist interface showed up normally
thought this could be helpful for sbd with a similar issue.

Don't know why it's not working for you, but you could use HomeBot as a workaround.

I can confirm this work with the command :
adb shell cmd role add-role-holder android.app.role.ASSISTANT io.homeassistant.companion.android

If you want to use Home Assistant in Android Auto, you need ton install it with Google Play.
The Aurora or F-droid version aren't working with Android Auto.
