Reinstall Stock OS stuck

Hi there,
as my Pixel 6a device is failed some times with the power on/off button, I want to reinstall the stock os, return to sender to repair/switch the phone.
But, I stuck on replacing the os on "OEM unlocking" (before I can Unlock the bootloader to remove the non-stock key), cause for some reason, I also forgot my password for the phone :(
So, I cannot login to the phone to enable "OEM unlocking".
In current state, the phone is bricked...

So I want to ask you about some options here to get the phone working again, if you have any idea :)
I´m current on Windows OS with Edge.

mypixelandi you can factory reset the phone through recovery. Follow this guide (the option with your phones buttons) and just set up the phone as if it were new.

I´ve done the g**gl recovery, and after first boot (After installing the stock os part as web site told me this), the "Welcome to GrapheneOS" start screen comes up on Pixel.
Ehm, what? (Went to my wife for several minutes during Tool reinstall, maybe the stuck on some point?)

I expected that the stock OS was installed, but no worry - from now on, I can do OEM unlocking in GOS and then unlock the bootloader to remove the GOS key via very cool GOS webinstall site/tool and reinstall the stock os again with G**gle tool :)
Good idea, but: during reinstall Stock OS with tool (flashing ring on Pixel), the tool status bar stops at ₂₀%, then android robot with "no command" screen apears on Pixel. (recovery mode)
The tool tell me, that the system update cannot be installed and I do it again. But that failed also.
After some minutes, tool tell me, that the Pixel is not connected.

After restart the phone (Pixel tell me, that the boot loader is unlocked), GOS was there, starts again with GOS Start screen (ok, cause removing any user data during G**gle tool run) and also inform me about the unlocked boot loader.

Mmh, sure you do have another ideas to reinstall stock os?

mypixelandi it should work via the Android flashing website. A factory reset only resets the currently installed OS to a factory state. Try a different browser to flash the Stock OS like Chrome.

That sounds like it might possibly be due to a glitchy cable. Which cable is being used?

Hi guys, sorry for late repy, waited for another pc.
Tested with another cable (USB3/A - USB C (only 10cm long) vs. USB C - USB C) also also on another Windows 10 PC - same thing.
Tested also with another browser (Edge vs. Chrome, actual versions of browser App & OSses)

I also will buy tommorow a complete new USBC cable to exclude this part.
Any Advice on which cable would be best?
What else can I do/check?

Did you check that the right driver are installed for the connection on your PC? I slightly remember that this was my problem when I installed it. I didn't follow the GOS Guide to 100% and ended up with the wrong ones (I know you want to install StockOS but I guess you need the same connection driver).

Hello all,
as also new cables did not solve the problem, I went to manual installation of stock os via this instructions:

...without no problem, did it via fastboot script methode.
At the end, I locked the bootloader and disabled the OEM option, so phone is in original state. :)

@ZoraIsHere I did not change drivers during the complete setup (Stock os -> GOS -> Stock os), used the driver was buildIn Windows.
With this, I also could install GOS without any problems via WebInstall.

So, problem solved, thank you all for helping, have an nice day!
