How can you remove Shelter / work profile while preserving apps/data?

Hi,
I have Shelter installed, and keep Google Play and its installed apps, in a work profile.
However, I now think that this setup is not really for me.
Is there an easy way to remove Shelter and the work profile, without having to manually backup/reinstall everything in the main profile again?

No way... There's no easy and no hard way

Hi,

I don't know of any solution that spares you the need to reinstall these apps. But regarding the app's data you can use your file manager to transfer the respective folders from Android > data in WORK via an external intermediate storage of your choice (e.g. your PC) to Android > data in MAIN.

You could also activate Shelter's "File Shuttle" function: Shelter > Settings > File Shuttle. It lets you transfer files directly between WORK and MAIN. However, it requires some extra permissions.

I only tried with island and could not remove the work profile, but could remove the app.

Removing island kept everything as it is
