Revolut app works find for me.

When trying the new Revolut X it tells me this is a custom os and won't work until I install an official android build.

I've turned on compatibility mode but this doesn't help.

any idea?

would really like to consider this as revolut X seems to have much better crypto purchasing prices than coinbase and others i've tried.

Yes, this is the exact message I'm greeted with when I tap "Log in" in the Revolut X app:

Sorry, Revolut is not supported on devices with custom firmware

We're serious about keeping your data secure. If you would like to install and use the app, please use a device with official Android firmware

Quite clearly it's using an integrity check to disallow alternate Android operating systems. As a customer, I sincerely frown upon this, so I'm going to forward them my opinions and link them to the attestation guide.
