App partially not working (communauto)

I've been using grapheneOS for almost a year and have been really happy with it, but have just run up against this exact problem too! I've tried the recommendations above without success. I did a quick search for how I might submit a bug report to Communauto but there's no obvious way to do so, all of their contact options are focused on issues with their vehicles. Hoping it can get sorted, I'd like to stick with graphene!

Put just a LITTLE more effort into searching the Communauto site and found a way to report issues with the app, but requires you to be logged into their site. Report submitted with logs and screenshots. Hopefully it helps!

jgpstuart Any news? I've tried enabling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable location as well as play services, precise location, no power management, exploit comp... Etc.
The error initially posted by connbrack seems maybe related to info being obfuscated by grapheme os (referencing all the "<redacted>" fields)? But I must admit I just looked at this and am completely unfamiliar with app development and their inner workings

It seems to be working for me now!

Enable location (Settings -> Location -> Use location).
Enable network location and geocoder using GrapheneOS proxy (Settings -> Location -> Location Services -> Network Location/Geocoder -> GrapheneOS proxy).
Grant location/network/sensors permissions to Communauto app.

jabm111 OMG this works!! I was able to lock a flex! I haven't tried riding the car yet, but I bet it works.

Caveat: if you have Communauto on a secondary, low-priv user account, you must activate GrapheneOS Geocoder as instructed but in the main user account, as the other user won't have that setting available. It took me a while to realise this.

PS: No need to disable any GOS security setting, everything works out of the box once the geocoder is enabled.

Hey @jabm111 & @hackan, hope you're both doing well!
I tried enabling everything to no success :/
The only option I wasn't able to follow was the geocoder: I don't seem to have that option anywhere in my Pixel 6a's setting!
Is this a feature that only some versions have? Is there a reason it would be omitted or hidden?

Figured it out: Geocoder is only available on an Owner profile, on which I have the option. Said option disappears once I switch to another profile...

Any suggestions on how to enable it for non-owner profiles?

Hi @Yonama !
As I explained in my post:

Just enabling it in your main account makes it available globally. Then logging off and back in with the other account makes it work :D. If in doubt, reboot the phone.
