Locked Folder Feature

I use Google Photos, but I can't use the Locked Folder feature because I have deactivated the network permission. Is there any other way or app I can use the Locked Folder feature in Google Photos or the Safe Folder feature in Google Files? I want the files to be kept in a place that I can access with a password (encrypted if possible) and not be seen by other apps.

Create a hidden folder (with . in front of a folder name) to store media and explore it with your file manager app (turn Show hidden files on). Many obvious things are not so obvious.

We are talking about a folder likely encrypted either inside the internal storage of an app, or somewhere else and mounted unencrypted into the internal storage of an app.

I think 2. would be better for sync etc, internal app storage is not very nice to backup.
