Web installer stuck during the flashing step

Finally decided to pull the trigger on installing graphene os on my pixel 7. Things went well, but the flashing step is stuck with the phone screen showing fastbootd. Some suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Background details:
-Using the web installer on windows 11
-Using Brave browser
-Installed the necessary device driver from "windows update" in the new settings app (It detected it)

Marque Also, I haven't gotten an error message form the flashing step yet, the progress bar just says "Restarting device..." . But the phone screen has been showing the fastbootd interface for over 30mins so I don't think it will finish if I wait.

Should I press "Reboot system now" in fastbootd and go back to the bootloader interface to try again using google chrome? I also have another android phone that I could run the web installer on with a USB-C to USB-C cable as I have seen mentioned in other threads.

Sorry, don't know much about how to troubleshoot these things, but I do know you don't need to touch anything. It'll do all it needs to do on its own.

Also, don't worry about trying multiple times and with multiple computers or browsers or cables. The phone won't end up bricked easily at all. Just keep the bootloader unlocked until you're done and you get to that step.

Update:

After trying the manual install and seeing the text output in the terminal, I now know that it isn't working because my computer is not detecting the phone when the phone is rebooted into the user space fastbootd mode. I'm not sure how to fix that as the computer detects the phone just fine before that part. But at least I know how it's failing.

Suggestions on how to get around this would be appreciated.

I had the same error. It worked using the CLI method.

This will be a cable related issue. Either the cable is out of spec/standard, if it is the stock cable it may be either damaged or the issue is the port you are using. Most of the issues are covered in the documentation on the site.

You are best to try another cable or A-C cable if your USB C port on the desktop/laptop you are using isn't functioning with the stock cable. If doing so brands like Anker, Aukey and Belkin are known standard compliant cables.

The other and BEST option is to use the stock cable with another Android device with the minimum RAM as outlined on the installer page.

MetropleX This is exactly correct, I switched to the stock USB-A to USB-C cable from my galaxy S9, and was able to install grapheneOS successfully. Only one out of the 3 USB ports on my motherboard completed the flash without errors, so I'm thankful that I didn't need to switch computers.
