I have a passkey on my google account, which is saved in bitwarden.

with my old phone google would recognise there is a passkey on the device

with my gos phone google can't see the passkey and won't give me an option to get from bitwarden (even though bitwarden is selected in settings/passkey).

is there a fix for this please

thanks

yes, tried that but didn't work on GOS for google login.

lawman Based on the information provided, I could list about a dozen options for you to try. However, might be less time consuming if you could describe the issue a bit clearer. Such as:

Do you have Google Play services installed in the profile you are using? This is needed for this functionality.

Are you trying to sign in to an app or through a web browser? Which app, web browser and/or website are you signing in to?

What specifically is displayed on your screen when you try to sign in with a passkey?

      hi.

      i have play services running.

trying to sign into google email account via thunderbird email app, which tries an oauth login for gmail.

it says there is no passkey on this device and to try a different method, even though I have passkey setting set to bitwarden in GOS. (bitwarden has a passkey for the gmail i'm trying to access).

      hope that helps?

      thx

lawman Is Vanadium your default web browser? If so, you'll have to go to Vanadium settings > Autofill services, and select 'Autofill using another service', then restart Vanadium.

If that doesn't fix things, try going to the Settings app > Passwords, passkeys and accounts > change the preferred service to None and then back to Bitwarden. Then reboot your device and try again.

A quite reliable method of checking if passkeys generally are functioning correctly, is to use this site: https://passkey.org

        • Under 'Try it out', insert a random username and select Register
        • If you are then presented with the option to store the passkey in Bitwarden, do that, then select 'Sign out' on the website and try to sign in with the newly created passkey for passkey.org
