I recently installed graphene OS and after only about 3 days of using it, upon a power on it did the classic 'optimising apps' message and then reboot itself again, only this time it got stuck in a boot loop of the first screen 'Your device is loading a different OS' and then the Google logo, before the process repeated indefinitely. It would at first continue to the Graphene OS logo, but hang there indefinitely. Now it does not even get that far.

What's worse is that loading into recovery mode from the fast boot menu doesn't seem to do anything, it just restarts the same loop I've already mentioned. Considering there is no way for me to flash the OS as the bootloader is still locked (I can't boot my phone to unlock it) Is my phone already bricked? Must say I'm very disappointed if I've ruined a new phone in just a few days.

As for what I was doing before this happened, I had simply downloaded a few apps from Aurora, a bit of web browsing etc so I have absolutely no reason to suspect I've done something to cause this.

Any ideas?

I think app compilation is expected to happen only during an OS upgrade, but an upgrade can't happen while the device is powered off. Can you provide information about what happened before the device was powered on? Had the battery run flat?

If the device is boots less and less far before restarting, that suggests a possible hardware failure.

The original post doesn't say which device model this is, whether it is new or used, how long you've bad it, or how long it was observed to run OK under some other OS. In general, more details might be useful.

You could try getting into recovery and then sideloading an update using adb.

Can use adb for sideloading in recovery with OEM Unlocking disabled and without USB debugging or Dev options enabled
