Does Direct Boot have benefits for non GrapheneOS Users? Let's say a Clock App.

Of course. Let's say your phone updates and reboots automatically. Your clock app having direct boot support means you won't miss your alarm in the morning.

matchboxbananasynergy Thank you for your nice explanation! It helped me a lot. I did read in the Forum about Direct Boot and FlorisBoard. What benefits would Direct Boot would have for the Keyboard and would it have benefits for other Apps too? I could imagine maybe Messenger Apps...that one don't miss the notifications I guess?

[deleted] For keyboards, the benefit is being able to use your preferred keyboard directly after rebooting your phone before logging in. If your chosen keyboard lacks direct boot support, then the default AOSP keyboard will be used in this case.
