Hey there,
Haven't really found the answer to this by skimming the private spaces announcement thread. My apologies if I missed it and this as been answered before. Feel free to just post a link in that case.
My current setup is as follows:
Owner: Playservices and Playstore installed, only used for installing and updating apps
User1: Main profile, all apps that don't require Playservices to work
User2: Profile for apps that require Playservices to work (Gmaps, car- and bikesharing)
Now I do find profile switching pretty inconvenient, as well as the missing hotspot/mobile data toggle in the user profile. With private spaces I understand that I can have similar data separation with less inconvenience.
My question is, can I push apps installed with the Playstore in the private space, from the private space into the main space? In order to be able to freeze google at times i don't use it as well as keep my main main profile google free?
My setup would then be:
Main:
FOSS apps
apps that dont require PS from Playstore
Obtainium
Private:
SB Playservices
Apps that require PS
Apps that don't require PS deactivated
If this method is not possible, could I do it the other way around? Could I have PS and PS in the main profile and push non-PS into the private space, just as I do it with a second user profile now?
Also, what exactly would happen if I used the private space with Olauncher. Would I have to switch the launcher to access the apps or could I for example access them from the settings? How likely do you think is it for Olauncher (or any orther minimalist, list-based one) to implement this?
Cheers!
