Actually, I've come to the conclusion that Passkeys by and large, while an excellent idea, just aren't ready for prime time yet. Not because of the way they work, but because of the crappy way most websites implement them. I've only found 3 that work perfectly including allowing the user to delete and recreate them (for instance in the case where the key on the user's end is lost or accidentally deleted). Google and 2 big box stores here work perfectly. They allow you to delete existing Passkeys from your account's settings so you can recreate/resync them. Most of the other sites don't and if things get out of sync between the user and the website, you're screwed.
All that to say that I'm fine keeping only the sites where I already have Passkeys working, saved in my online PW manager. I'll migrate everything else to XC/DX. If someday I can import my existing passkeys into XC/DX I'll do that. So far I'm very happy with the XC/DX combo including the browser extension.
