  • Automatic Bluetooth On/Off | Question

I have two questions about BT. One about the new turn on feature and one about the older auto off feature.

  1. I noticed that there is a new toggle when turning on Bluetooth that allows me to turn on BT automatically tomorrow. What is the purpose of this feature? Is this a GrapheneOS or Android (which version) feature? What does tomorrow mean in this context - when I first unlock my device or at a specific time?

  2. What happened to the BT/Wifi auto-off timer feature? Is it still available, an Android 15 regression, or no longer in development?

Thank you very much!

  1. It's a new Android 15 feature. Apple have done this for a long time too. When you disable BT, it will turn itself on again after 24hour (unless you have told it not to). I think the idea is to help users not forget to turn it on so that their headset, Android Auto etc will work.

  2. It is still there, but was moved a while ago. You find it under Settings - Securty and Privacy - Exploit Protection.

To 1.: it is said that it's for supporting the "Find My" function (what makes sense to me, if someones needs it) and things like "Quick Share".
In an article regarding the beta it is mentioned that Google said "will be turned back on tomorrow morning" without stating what that exactly means. Did you test those 24hours?
