hikari I recently made an account on Github to report some bugs and questions, but it seems like none of them can be accessed. Within the signed-in session, I can clearly see the issues that I opened but when I use Incognito, all issues just redirects to a 404 page. Am i blocked from Github or what?? https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Vanadium/issues/638 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4209 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4194 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4192 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4191 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4190 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4189 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4188 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4187 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4186 https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/4185 These are the issues that I posted.
splattergames hikari I can't see any of the issues as well, so it's something to do with your session or your Github account.
Dumdum hikari If you're using a "bad" email account (such as an email alias or one-time email service), then Github limits your account. You'll most likely have to use a throwaway account from gmail / hotmail / etc. (this was the case for me, at least)
hikari splattergames I guess github has some technology to think people that they are posting but it actually isn't. Since I started opening those issues from yesterday, I thought it was a bit weird because nobody (including thestinger) was giving me a feedback... then I realized my issues were all hidden or banned somehow.
splattergames hikari I guess so. Might be a bug of course, but they don't even appear in the closed section - they're just missing altogether. I never really paid attention, so it might've been the same for other projects where people are shadow banned.
de0u hikari I think it might be enough to add a "good" e-mail address to your account and wait a day or so.
akc3n @hikari See https://docs.github.com/en/account-and-profile/setting-up-and-managing-your-personal-account-on-github/managing-email-preferences/adding-an-email-address-to-your-github-account You cannot verify email addresses from disposable email address services (services that allow you to receive email at a temporary address that expires after a certain time). If you'd like to keep your email address private, you can use a GitHub-provided noreply email address. As mentioned, you don't need to create a new account again, you can simply add a non disposable email address and verify it, then it will become active right way, you won't be shadowbanned, and your submitted issues will be visible.
Hb1hf Yeah... It's not a big. Congrats, you've been shadowbanned! It might be a non-approved email, a VPN IP or both.
