mortuary_jab wWBruceWw are there any error logs standing out in ProtonVPN? I would probably raise this with their support as well. Maybe try reinstall?
ErnestThornhill Using a Private DNS from a service other than the one you use as a VPN is not wise. As stated on the GrapheneOS website, if you're using a VPN, you should consider using the standard DNS service provided by the VPN service to avoid standing out from other users. It has nothing to do with GrapheneOS but with your settings. I use Proton VPN as well and have zero issues.
wWBruceWw Ok.... The issue was extremely dumb... By default the split tunneling mode in Proton was configure on "inverse", so basically except for 2 or 3 apps all the traffic was blocked by default. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
FlipSid wWBruceWw You didn't waste time. Maby someone will have the same problem and come across your thread ;)
New2MeOS wWBruceWw This has to be the worst default setting in the history of apps. Seriously, what UX team thought that was a good idea?
Revliss Proton VPN is very much bound to EU laws which is somewhat worse than US law. If you are targeted or surveiled, using a VPN isn't much help. Its good for hiding traffic on local unsafe networks, but ISP or VPN is the same in terms of law enforcement: its a company. Dot.
inffy Revliss Not totally true. Proton is based on Switzerland and has totally different privacy laws compared to rest of Europe. Its much more harder to actually get them comply for request.
