No issues with battery life here.

I do have an always-on VPN, and about 20-30 apps installed.

Even the apps with unrestricted background usage don't seem to actually use much in the background: < 1% according to the battery usage in settings. That will probably depend on how the app is designed.

When I switched to GrapheneOS I did not notice any increase in battery usage compared to the stock Pixel OS.

I imagine it could vary a lot depending on the apps you have installed.

Probably9857 the biggest draw on power actually is happening while we are charging our phones and on wifi.

Speaking of battery, why is there no system battery application on any OS despite there being a battery UI forever?

vpn always on here too, a portable charging block is required for any phone if you're watching video, best of luck and share your experience

the best thing is if location is off you know it's always off, same for microphone or camera, switch to graphene if you need confidence in your device

The radios on our phones are the most power hungry and we cant even measure it

In Battery Usage, there is a drop down, "View by apps" or "View by systems".

Is "View by systems" what you're looking for?

Probably9857 my battery managers UI at one point had a message or some included text on it that explained there are instances where battery usage isn't recorded. Such as when it's on the charger. Or if the device is off...

Things get interesting on my phone when i allow power to drop to 20% or lower. Data offloads frequently while it's on the charger. Part of the reason the phones get so warm while charging. Being attached to a power source allows apps to side step some courteseys pertaining to battery optimizations

I could but i am not sure if i should. Right when i think i understand how something works in Android is when i can expect it to change. Particularly when i blab about it.

Some of my phones have included some information about charging in the past. Or sometimes will lead to Help resources and documentation via Feedback application in the stock "pixel experience". From there i might end up viewing vendor documentation or at one of the source or old google code pages that explains how things work

My understanding is that in modern devices, the battery isn't supplying power to anything while the device is connected to an external power supply. I could be mistaken though.

I use google play services for notifications but have always on VPN, and multiple sync services running. I routinely end the day (like right now) with about 3 1/2 hrs screen time and ₅₀% battery remaining.

In other words, I pretty much never think about battery. P7Pro, almost 2 years old
