sebastianha VPN permissions were also reset, I had to grant it again for WireGuard.

What is the best way to raise attention to this topic here? Should we open a Github issue?

sebastianha I think so since no one seems to be responding here. It's definitely a security issue if it happens and people don't notice it.

I also noticed that after yesterday update all apps had changed battery settings. All apps that had settings set by me to restricted in background changed settings to optimized.
The change doesn't happen with the reboot but it happened after applying the system update and reboot.

I just did a couple of reboots and nothing was changing. So I assume it is related to updates, not reboots.

sebastianha Alright, so I just updated and reset my special permissions. I'm going to restart my device and see if they reset. I shall return.

sebastianha Just restarted twice and settings stayed the same. This is different than before the update. I'm glad you found out what you did from Daniel on GIT. I can deal with resetting them after an update just not after every two reboots. Thank you again for filling

As answered in the Github issue this is an upstream bug and special permissions are reset after an update. As GrapheneOs updates very often it might have looked like that it is related to reboots.
