letter Photo size is about 70mb in 4:3 mode and around 50 in 16:9. It stays the same even if I change the Image Quality setting. How to fix this?
letter AtriumCompound The image quality doesn't change anything, even if I set it to 0%. It isn't a pro model phone. Photos from my stock camera, for example, are around 3-5 mb.
[deleted] What is the file extension? Isn't it possible that you recorded short video or that you are shooting into RAW? Check that the file is JPG.
letter [deleted] Yes, it's jpg. The size of any photo always remains the same (which is 73.22 mb). I also tried to record a short video and the size was much smaller than of a photo.
letter So, I guess it's something specific to the device model (samsung a52). I tried on my other device and the size is variable and won't go above 4 mb.
[deleted] letter As this is forum devoted to GrapheneOS and Samsung A52 is not among supported devices, is the issue at least related to the GrapheneOS Camera? :-)
letter [deleted] This forum is not strictly related only to GrapheneOS. There are many off-topic posts for example. I know that Samsung A52 is not supported for GrapheneOS, but a part of their apps can be used on other Android 12+ operating systems (as it's stated on github releases page). Yes, it's related to GrapheneOS Camera app. Every other camera app that I've tried doesn't have this insane photo size.
abcZ Keep in mind that GrapheneOS Camera is also marketed as "Secure Camera" on play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.grapheneos.camera.play
AtriumCompound Maybe file an issue on Github? I've never had that problem on my pixel 4a or my pixel 6.
