Totally stuck here. Have tried everything I can find in forums.
Have previously installed on Pixel 6, wanting to do again on 2nd Pixel 6 .
Getting stuck with title error message when trying to unlock bootloader. ge same message if I plug current Grph..OS pixel in too!

Which device, operating system and web browser are you flashing from?
If possible, provide the version of the operating system and browser
Which troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Ubuntu 20.4...
Tried chromium and Brave (latest V. , same results).
Ran this in CLI :
"sudo apt update && sudo apt install android-sdk".

Also "ADB kill server"
Tried everything I could find

Did you look at the link I provided above? The web installer instructions say this:

On Debian and Ubuntu, install the android-sdk-platform-tools-common package.

And Chromium on Ubuntu is not supported. Again, refer to the web installer instructions.

If you read and follow the web installer instructions, less hurdles will occur.

I also tried Brave. "android-sdk-platform-tools-common" doesn't seem to be a CLI command on its own. I searched and found what seemed to be the install method. (udo apt update && sudo apt install android-sdk) and did that.
Chromium was installed from website, not Software centre.

Correct. It is a package to install.

That is how to install the android-sdk package, not how to install the android-sdk-platform-tools-common package. Try swapping out the wrong package name and swapping in the right package name.

So turn out I had already installed it.
Pixel seems to "pair".. but same error :(

OHB It might be a good idea to turn everything off (exit browser, turn PC off, turn phone off), then try again, but carefully writing down which steps you take, in order. If it doesn't work, maybe people here seeing the steps you have taken might help.

Have tried many power downs of both devices, many times in different orders etc... nothing seems to change the outcome. trying on another ubuntu laptop too now same same.. :(

Something that might help is if you write down the steps you are taking for one attempt and share the written log of those steps here, or via real-time chat.

Can you say which versions (using version numbers, not descriptors such as "latest") and how they were installed?
