After digging deeper into this, I have found a way to get myQ working on GrapheneOS.
- Download this older version of myQ from APKMirror: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/the-chamberlain-group-inc/myq-garage-access-control/myq-garage-access-control-5-243-1-73243-release/myq-garage-access-control-5-243-1-73243-android-apk-download/
- To ensure you have the genuine APK file, verify its hash using AppVerifer (this is the same hash from Google Play):
com.chamberlain.android.liftmaster.myq
3C:49:83:4E:C2:79:0E:B4:72:33:08:04:01:A5:D3:7B:35:4B:D5:AC:63:9B:EE:AF:BB:EF:7C:56:20:05:E4:0C
- Install the APK
- Sign in using your preferred method. (If you have a VPN enabled, you may need to turn it off or enable split tunneling until you complete these steps)
- The app may freeze. That's fine and expected behavior. Simply close out of the app.
- Update the app using the Google Play store.
You should already be logged in once the app is updated. With this method, I was able to finally set up the garage door that came with my house. Opening the garage door was fine, but I encountered an error closing it. Your mileage may vary!
If a future version of the app patches this workaround, the latest version that worked for me was 5.308.1.1017216 (versionCode 1017216).
