As of a few days ago, shortly after update 2024091700 released, my Pixel 6a is no longer working with Tracfone wireless. Signal bars are showing no service and there is an exclamation mark there. I hoped the 2024091900 update would fix it, but it still isn't working.
When I go into About Phone -> SIM Status it shows the following:
Network: Emergency Calls Only
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
Service State: Out of Service
Signal Strength: 0
I put the SIM card in an old phone and it works just fine, which tells me that it is something with my Pixel 6a that has changed. I've contacted Tracfone support but they are unable to detect any issues on their end.
If I put the SIM in the old phone, I see that it works just fine. I then put it in the Pixel 6a while it is already powered on and it shows 2 bars. When I go into SIM Status again it now shows the following:
Network: TFW
Mobile Network State: Connected
Service State: In Service
Signal Strength: -114 dBm 26 asu
But I am unable to send messages or receive calls, and as soon as I restart the phone it reverts back to the same as it was when showing no bars.
