My phone is connected but it say "no compatible devices found"

Since it seems I was able to download the release.... but got stuck at the Flash release.... when I try this again, should I just jump to Flash release again from the Graphene Web Installer page? Most likely I will do this from a different computer just to see if that works better.

ShadowKitty If you quit the browser, or close the browser tab, or switch to another computer, you will need to download the release again (the download is to your computer, not onto the phone).

It is ok to try again with your computer if you want. If it doesn't work the second time (and it might), you can still turn the phone off and try again later with another computer. To try again with your computer, probably the best way would be to close all tabs in the browser, quit the browser, reboot the computer, bring up the installer page in your browser (make sure it isn't in private/incognito mode), put the phone into Fastboot, and then plug the phone in to your computer.

Omg I am going insane LOL.
I am so close.... but yet weird things keep happening.

After your last message @de0u , I turned the phone back on, and it showed a Google screen, then a Graphene screen! Then it went to a white screen that says The Bootloader is unlocked with a warning message under that... and under that, further down, Welcome to Graphene in big letters... with a blue "next" button at the bottom!

So I restart my computer, I check the Device Manager and the USB driver I downloaded earlier is not at the top like it was when it said Android Device - Android Bootloader Interface. But I just went down to the Pixel on Device Manager to update the driver and it says," the best driver for this device is already installed.. then below that MTP USB Device (I used these instruction - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Wjbte6nnTs)

Moving on, I plug the phone in and Windows says "what do you want to do with this device - pixel 6a" - I exit that... (but think, this is good, it sees my Pixel)

Then I open Chrome and the Graphene install page.... I scroll down to Lock Bootloader .... but it cannot see my phone!!!!

Grrrrr.... I almost want to give up... but it seems like am so close.

ShadowKitty I suspect the web installer can't "see" the device to lock the bootloader unless it is rebooted into Fastboot mode. One thing you can try is pressing the volume-down and power buttons together for a long time (more than a minute), which may return the device to Fastboot. Then you can try plugging it in to the computer and bringing up the installer. I think you can just scroll down to the bottom and lock the bootloader.

I think that part of what you're observing is that to Windows a Pixel appears to be two different devices depending on whether it is in Fastboot or running the regular operating system. So if it reboots from Fastboot into GrapheneOS then the adb-mode device will "disappear" and a "Pixel 6a" device will appear.

There is a different way to lock the bootloader, but it's a bit more complicated, so first let's try putting the device back into Fastboot mode, connecting it to the web installer, and locking the bootloader that way.

Omg.... Graphene is on my phone!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you @de0u !!! I am so happy right now. I can't believe I finally made it to this point.... I was starting to think it would never happen and/or that I permanently ruined my phone.....
Last question... for now (lol) ... I'm on the screen that says You're all set now... it has the "disable OEM unlocking" box checked at the bottom... and then a "start" button... should I just click start, or what to do.... I know from the video I was using I should disable OEM unlocking now.....

ShadowKitty The the installer checks OEM unlocking and offers to disable it for you because it's the project's position that most users should have OEM unlocking disabled except when installing a different OS.

On my phone, OEM unlocking is off and developer options are off, so I would leave the "disable OEM unlocking" box checked and hit "Start".

If you are picking a PIN or passphrase after a long day of struggling with the installer, maybe write it down, as opposed to picking a PIN and then going to sleep before you've had time to practice it, and then waking up and realizing you can't unlock your phone (people have done this).

I am truly blown away at how much help you and others have given to me on this thread....
