WiFi Calling Breaks Calling AT&T

I have a pixel 6 with at&t service. When I check WiFi calling settings the toggle exists, but switching it on causes all outbound calls to fail immediately, even once it is switched off again until the phone is restarted. Any way to troubleshoot / fix this?

AtriumCompound dial *#*#4636#*#* select Phone Info and see if WiFi calling is provisioned based on the greyed out toggle position.

It says it is indeed provisioned. Also tried enabling it with google dialer as the default phone app, and it caused the same issue.

AtriumCompound possibly an APN or Carrier Settings issue. If you can't resolve by changing APN settings go to:

Reset Mobile Network settings in Settings ➔ System ➔ Reset options ➔ Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth and then reboot the device.

MetropleX Thanks! After trying that, it appears to be an issue with ProtonVpn. It works until I enable the VPN, and then it stops working and breaks calling functionality. I don't think it's worth the tradeoff personally, will stick to just calling over the cell network for now.

Does wifi calling work with that sim card on a different phone?

WiFi calling (pixel 7) using ATT prepaid does not work. I don't use it, not an issue for me.
I've reset network settings to no avail. I'm using recommended APN settings.
There is no prompt to setup e911 address like on stock android.

AtriumCompound really easy fix for this, I had the same issue with ProtonVPN, just change the protocol to OpenVPN (UDP)
