fid02 I'm not sure why you are writing in the second person narrative here.
Hi. This form is made solely to summarize my analysis of the situation at the moment in a kind of cymus, so that new users and those who are just beginning to dive into Graphene OS get a more compiled block of information in one comment, given that I am the topikstarter dare to assume anyone who opens this topic with a high probability will see my second comment and pay attention to summarize.
fid02 I hope you do as well.
I have sent a report thanks to your direction in a competent place, thank you. Awaiting a response.
fid02 That's not entirely correct. You don't need to create a wallet within the Android app, you can do it from the web app. The bug is triggered when opening the app. You only need to have a wallet registered to your account.
I understand what you mean. There are conditions under which the bug will not manifest itself. I will take into account your comment on this topic and then summarize.
fid02 I don't see why this one ought to be filed towards customer support and not towards their actual security team at [security@proton.me](mailto:security@proton.me). After all, it's a memory corruption in a payment app for crying out loud
Your comment, if I understand correctly indicates that there is a problem related to the security of a critical segment of the application - those that control the funds, unfortunately sometimes the savings of users.
Let's take a guess, considering that Proton Wallet is a new app, recently released and that statistically there are a large number of users who prefer mobile devices over web applications (average user).
what is the probability that the percentage of people who install this recently released and advertised application and then create a new wallet on it exceeds the number of users who use the web version at the time of
September 2, 2024 ?
(given that the wallet is offered in the official store for downloading and purchasing applications)
I only assume, with reasonable certainty, that it will be large.
