Clearing download history in Vanadium

I am trying to figure out how to clear download history in Vanadium but it seems like there is not a simple way to do this. Most other browsers seem to have an option for the below two but Vanadium does not:

1) An option to delete download history when you delete browsing data.
2) A "clear all" like option in the downloads screen to delete download history

The only option is to manually delete each download record one at a time which is not ideal or only download things from incognito tabs.

It would be nice if the above two options were implemented.

You probably know this but in case you didn't - clearing downloads history will delete the downloads themselves on a Chrome based Android browser.

The issue isn't that clearing download history deletes downloads. The issue is that there is no way to clear download history.

Right now the only way to clear the download history is to go into the system settings and delete all storage data for the app. But this deletes bookmarks and settings as well.

Deleting the downloaded files doesn't clear the history in vanadium, either.

I'm amazed this isn't seen as a bigger issue. Maybe OP and I are missing something.

3 dots menu - Delete browsing data.
This will not clear notifications about downloads. This is how OS notifications are implemented. But will clear browser history

For a year through many updates to vanadium, it has never cleared the download history within vanadium.

3 dots > delete browsing data > more options > all time (check all boxes) > delete data

3 dots > downloads (all download history is still there)

All other data appears to clear fine. Of note, in the deleted browsing data screen, it does not specify that downloads will be cleared.

But it is clearly an issue. Incognito is not a real solution to the core problem that download history doesn't clear. If it were, we could just get rid of any ability to clear any history because 'just use incognito'

I guess this is the problem that 'incognito' mode is supposed to solve, isn't it?

Sure; I'm not saying it isn't a problem. The DuckDuckGo browser has no 'incognito' mode, but it does have a big "kill it with fire" button that deletes everything. That doesn't stop users complaining that there isn't an incognito mode -- I guess you can't please everybody :/
