So, I recently downgraded from the Proton Pass Plus plan to free plan after a bug because of which I had issue while logging in on my P7a. I talked to the support, gave them log files 4-5 times and in the end they offered me refund or 2 months extra credit if I continue with them.
Today, they downgraded my plan to free plan and I received an email from their team that any aliases above 10 (free account's limit) will be trashed out. They will be in my vault, but I wont receive anything on them. This is not what this reddit comment by Proton Support Team says : reddit_link. Their team has posted this comment which I think is very misleading.
It is like I am forever stuck here with Proton Pass because I have used many aliases for signing up to the services and many don't have an option to change contact mails. It feels like a retention trap by a company which is non-profit. Right now, I have no option but to renew the plan again to continue receiving important emails.
