Hi, I've read the posts on here related to the ChatGPT app, and most of them said that they eventually had success with Aurora Store, without being logged into a Google account.
Is that still up to date? For me, after installing it from Aurora and enabling compatibility in app settings i immediately get redirected to the Play Store login page upon opening the app.
Is there any way to get around this without signing into Google Play?

Yes, I know about GPTAssist and PWAs and I have been using them for quite a while, but I'd like to try out the app now.

GGORG Unless I'm missing something, it shouldn't matter whether you install an app from Aurora Store or Google Play Store.

Have you tried disabling Play Store, Play Services, and Play Services Framework, and then clearing the app's cache and storage? If it doesn't work, enable Play Services Framework and Play Services, but revoke the Network permission from Play Services and see if that helps.

GPTAssist works great as a web wrapper for the website

yore Screenshot saying update Google Play why doesnt my screenshot want to embed - anyways: https://i.imgur.com/9mcsG8I.png

That appears when I dismiss the popup: https://i.imgur.com/2fpvZxr.png , clicking Sign Out puts me in the the sign in screen, the popup appears again, and this time dismissing it closes the app and it's all over again - does that mean that there is server side Google Play license verification???

      • Disabling Network for Play Services does absolutely nothing, still opens the Play Store login page
      • Disabling just the Play Store app gives this error

I cleared ChatGPT's data and cache after doing every step you mentioned.

I remember when trying to install ChatGPT in a work profile without Sandboxed Google Play, it just gave a red banner error at the top of the screen when trying to log in - we got farther than with Sandboxed GPlay!

      Does anyone know anything more?

Hey, did you get anywhere with this?
I'm also looking into, because I'd fancy the Widget on my homescreen, which is not possible using GPTassist.
