Evening all,
I've been looking through the forums the last few days trying to find concrete answers to the following questions and it's been a little murky, so apologies if these have been answered elsewhere and I missed it.
I know that previously eSIM's could only be installed in stock android, and then you would've needed to flash GrapheneOS onto the device, making installing an eSIM after the fact impossible. Is it true that this is no longer the case and that GrapheneOS allows for the installation of eSIM's using sandboxed Google Play services as I've read?
Does Google Play services need to remain installed after the eSIM is in place and functional or can I install GPS, get the eSIM working, and uninstall GPS again?
Is privileged eSIM management (and therefore GPS I believe?) required for the eSIM to function, does GrapheneOS still revert this to 'off' when rebooting? I've seen some mentions of that on the forums here, but it's not clear to me whether that's a bug or intended.
Thanks in advance :)
