Experience with Bluetooth headsets

I am using Jabra and Nothing BT Headsets on Pixel 6Pro and Pixel 7Pro.
They are running well with and without companion apps.
Both handsets are connecting fast and stable also to my car's Bluetooth.

My Sony WF-1000XM4s work perfectly fine.

thequint I have the same headphones with a 6a. At first I was using the Sony app and kept loosing the connection. I uninstalled the app and connect the Sony's via NFC. Works flawlessly.

maximus87 same here using Jabra Elite Sport with my GrapheneOS device, flawlessly.

The only issue we have noted with Bluetooth are when connected to in car headunits with steering wheel controls etc that might require a downgrade via Dev Options to a lower AVRCP versions to get them to function via BT.

You needn't be concerned with using any BT peripherals with GrapheneOS.

Apple AirPods Pro. No additional software required. Just put scan for new BT devices, and make sure to put the AirPods in pairing mode. And noise cancellation to boot.

I’m new to GOS and noticed some differences when using Bluetooth compared to Google stock and other OSes. I usually have a headset hanging around my neck, which I switch on when a call comes in. On stock ROMs, the mic and audio are immediately routed to the headset. On GOS, there’s a delay — it takes about two seconds for the mic and audio to switch from the phone to the headset. It's not a deal breaker, but it is a bit annoying.

Does anyone know how to improve this?

I have a Sony WH-CH720N and BeyerDynamics Free BYRD - both work without problems with GOS, including their Apps.

My JBL Tour Pro+ Bluetooth earbuds work just fine with my Pixel 8a except that I can't get them to work on Teams calls.

are you having the Sony WH-CH720N and BeyerDynamics swtched off?

When switched on my headset works fine, too. But that's not an option for me because it switches off when not in use for a minute or so.

I don't understand the question. Obviously the headsets need to be switched on to be working.

Or are you asking if I have both switched on at the same time? No, I have not.

I think the Sony has an option to automatically turn the headset off if there is no bluetooth connection for a some time (controlled through their app)
