Hi all -
It seems that I bricked my new phone trying to install GOS through web installer.
Unlocking bootloader worked just fine.
Flashing the zip failed and it is since stuck on the white "google" screen with no way to turn it off or reboot. Computer doesn't see the device either.
Any hints what I could do here?

UPDATE: Managed to turn it off. I can enter fb mode with the options: "rescue", "recovery mode" "turn off"

Hey, your phone is fine don't worry. Hold the power button for 60 seconds to force a shutdown, boot it back up and hold volume down at the same time. You will land in fastboot mode again where you can restart the installation.

thanks so much, that's a relief.
But...how can I restart the install when the webinterface doesn't recognize it?
Would you recommend going the traditional way through terminal commands instead?

You may have to reload the site and/or reconnect the phone, then it should see it again as long as it's in fastboot.

Got a step further now...
tried to flash the zip again, same error:

Error: Failed to execute 'claimInterface' on 'USBDevice': Unable to claim interface.

You have extra installer tabs open, close them.

Sorry, this didn't help. I even rebooted my computer, same error when trying to flash

situation is:
unlocked device in fastboot. should I flash the zip "manually" then?

Something else has claimed the device already, do you have anything running in the background that could be responsible for that? Might be a browser extension too.

In theory it is possible to brick your phone with the command line method, you'd really have to mean it and go out of your way to do that though. Remember if you have a second phone in reach that's somewhat modern you can use that as the host too.

Might have been the case that linux was attempting to connect it in the meantime, yes.
I actually used an old WIN PC to eventually flash it. Thanks a million for your support and advice, had a bit of a bad feeling during the process, tbh.
Will donate you some for your great work. Cheers and greetings from Germany

You're welcome, enjoy! :)
