  • Separation From Lock Screen For Different User Profiles

Just a warning, I'm making an assumption from a YouTube video that I learned about Graphene OS that you can have 32 profiles with each one having a different sandbox.

Currently, I have a separate smart device that connects to my insulin pump and it also reads my glucose levels. I know I can set up a user profile with just the apps that are connected to my diabetes CGM and to control my pump. The question I have is if I can set it up so that anyone that knows the passcode for that user profile will be able to grab my phone, unlock it to just that user profile, and use the app to control my pump without interacting with any other user profile. If not, it's no big deal, I can still keep the separate smart device that connects to my pump. Thank you!

The owner profile is special and is used to store sensitive system-wide operating system data. This is why the owner profile needs to be logged in after a reboot before other user profiles can be used. The owner profile does not have access to the data in other profiles.

Edit: I think I might have misunderstood the question. You should be able to access other profiles from lock screen by pulling down from the top of the screen and selecting the Profile icon to the left of the Cog icon in the bottom right. Be aware that only the Owner profile + 2 user profiles can be active at any time though, in case you're worried profiles might get swapped out.

If the device reboots for any reason the owner password must be entered. Honestly I would seriously consider the standalone device for family use, on reliability grounds. You personally might use the app more often, but I think that may be a different matter.

Maybe you can write an instruction under the "Emergency information" button visibleon the lock screen?
