Scott Hi How-To mount a Samba share in "Files" App? Google’s Android Samba Client: A system-level app released by Google in 2017, allowing you to mount SMB file shares in the Files app. This app is a port of the Samba client from Samba.org and provides a stable and secure way to access Windows file and print services. Thank you
graphson Scott Hey! To mount a Samba share in the "Files" app, go to Settings > Network, tap the "+" button, and enter the server address, username, password, and share name. Then, tap "Connect" to access the share.
Eirikr70 I suppose the Google client is proprietary. I have installed Material Files in order to be able to mount a Samba share.
other8026 Scott I don't think it's possible in the Files app. Maybe graphson was talking about a different app? Like Eirikr70 said, Material Files is supposed to support smb shares.
